Before publication

We identify each factual claim, locate the strongest available source, check dates and terminology, and remove claims that cannot be supported.

Extraordinary claims

Claims of extraterrestrial visitation, recovered technology or confirmed alien life require independently verifiable evidence. Testimony or an unresolved recording alone is not treated as confirmation.

Current scientific position

NASA states that it has not found credible evidence of extraterrestrial life and that there is no evidence UAP are extraterrestrial. AARO states that it has found no evidence of extraterrestrial technology. We update wording if those official positions change.
